Shakespeare's Head Garden

Shakespeare's Head gained its name from a sign which depicted Shakespeare's head on a pole used to advertise the former colonial print shop owned by John Carter. This historic property was damaged in the 1938 hurricane, leading to a Colonial Revival Style redesign of the garden by landscape architect James Graham. SDG implemented modifications to simplify maintenance and more accurately reflect the Colonial period of the house.
